Equalities Diversity and Inclusion Policy and Strategy – Consultation

At Bridgewater, one of the six values we set ourselves in our Business Plan  was “Doing what matters most, with and for, our customers”. This underpins our work and drives the culture of the organisation. All our staff, led by the Board, CEO and Leadership Team, are committed to diversity and being an inclusive and supportive organisation.

We are today publishing our new  equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) documents with our first set of equality objectives for a period of consultation with customers and stakeholders. These objectives focus on the point at which we interact with tenants and the public; how we communicate; and our organisational culture.

It is hoped that these objectives will provide a good foundation to our equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) approach, and we hope to make good progress against them in the coming years. These focus on the robustness and quality of equality data we hold; how we communicate; and the culture within our organisation.

In our view these objectives send a clear message about what we plan to do in relation to our work on equality. We believe the Policy, Strategy and inclusive action plan build on our robust foundations. Our work on equality is extremely important and the Board and Leadership team will regularly review our progress against them.

We are launching this consultation to seek feedback from our customers and interested stakeholders. We are keen to hear views so please do take the time to respond and help shape our important work on equality.

To take part in the consultation simply email us on admin@bridgewaterha.org.uk or call us on 0141 812 2237 to discuss the documents linked below.  The consultation closes at 4pm on Friday 23rd February 2024 so please ensure that you provide any feedback before this date.
