Bridgewater HA & Idverde – New contract

Bridgewater are delighted to announce that we are continuing to work with Idverde for a further four years when the current contract ends in July 2022.  Our new Chief Executive Officer Andy Thomson took some time to meet with Idverde’s Operations Director, Frank King to sign the new contract onsite at Robertson House.  We look forward to Idverde continuing their hard work in Bargarran, North Barr, Park Mains 1 and Park Mains 2.

My Home Customer Portal

Bridgewater understands the importance of providing easy access to your account and relevant documents, and we are delighted to tell you that we will be introducing an online facility for customers in Autumn/Winter 2022.  You’ll be able to access a one-stop shop for all your Factoring Services including access to your account, paying your bill, and managing your information.  We will be able to keep you informed about major contracts, like the resurfacing programme without having to send letters in the post as information will be uploaded directly to your account.  To get this up and running we need to gather contact information from our customers including email addresses, telephone numbers and forwarding addresses for private landlords.  We will be contacting you in the very near future requesting this information however should you wish to provide this to us now please email us at telling us your Bridgewater Factoring account number and current contact information or call the office on 0141 812 2237, choosing the Factoring option.

Landscaping programme 2022/2023

Bridgewater’s landscape maintenance contractor Idverde has begun work throughout our estates on the scheduled summer works programme.  This includes regular grass cutting, weed control and the pruning of hedges and shrubs throughout the estates.  The Clerk of Works continues to monitor progress throughout the estates and conducts quality control inspections, rain, or shine, on a weekly basis, including assessing the condition of trees, instructing remedial works, fencing repairs, looking at local surface water problems, and a wide range of landscaping issues.

We know parking spaces are limited throughout the estates however recently we have witnessed an excessive volume of cars parking on the landscaped grassed areas.  All owners are responsible for the costs of maintaining the landscaped areas and we would ask that residents and their visitors DO NOT park on any of the grassed landscaped areas; your cooperation with this is appreciated.

Customer Satisfaction

Bridgewater HA has asked an independent organisation, Research Resource, to conduct a comprehensive survey of our factored owners and the questionnaire is included in this mailing.  We welcome your feedback and would ask you to take 5 minutes to tell us what we’re doing well, anything we could be doing better and your opinion on the services you receive from us.  We use this feedback to improve our services and to identify new services that customers would like to see in the future.  This brief survey asks a few questions in relation to only the areas that Bridgewater is responsible for.  As you may know Renfrewshire Council maintains large areas of footpaths, car parks and landscaping, generally on the outskirts of our estates.  The questions are about the common areas Bridgewater maintains and not the areas maintained by the Council.  We would be grateful if you could take the time to return this survey, there are lots of ways to do this including by post (using the reply-paid envelope), by email or by using the QR code provided by Research Resource and completing this digitally.

Online Area Plans

Did you know we have digital maps of our four management areas online?  These show all the paths, car parks and landscaped areas that Bridgewater is responsible for and can be accessed using the link to the owner’s page of our website –

The areas we maintain are colour coded.  Any paths, roads, landscaping etc. that are not coloured are likely to be the responsibility of Renfrewshire Council.  We take numerous calls from residents about the poor condition of roads and footpaths but the vast majority of these are the Council’s responsibility.  If you see an issue on Renfrewshire Council land this can be reported online by signing into your My Account –  Factored owners will know from the factoring bills they have received over the past few years that Bridgewater has been carrying out widespread resurfacing and repair work throughout our estates which has substantially improved their condition and appearance.  Year 4 of this programme is scheduled to commence in August 2022, and we will send out information on this in advance of the start date.

It is important to note that our landscaped areas are not suitable to be used as play spaces, or for ball games or similar recreational activities.  We would also ask residents who carry out improvements and repairs to their own gardens or houses to avoid leaving materials on common landscaped areas and to avoid causing any damage.  If you are aware that this may be happening, please let us know.  Let’s keep them free of damage for everyone to enjoy!
