18/10/2021 – Repairs and Maintenance
We are pleased to say that our reactive repairs service has virtually returned to normal and that most of the Covid-19 restrictions that limited what we could do have been lifted. If you need to report a repair there are several ways for you to do this:
If you want to report any type of repair (emergency and non-emergency) during normal office hours Monday to Friday please phone the main office number which is:
0141 812 2237 (Please use this number to report ALL repairs Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm, Friday 9am to 4.30pm)
You will be asked to leave a message giving your name, address, contact telephone number and the nature of the repair. Our staff are continuing to work from home at present and will respond to your call as quickly as possible. It may take us a little longer than usual to respond to calls because if the circumstances.
OUT-OF-HOURS EMERGENCY REPAIRS
If you need to report an out-of-hours emergency repair (other than for gas heating problems) the number is:
*This number is to report emergency repairs only during weekends, public holidays and from 4.30pm to 9am weekdays.
Your call will be handled and responded to by our main contractor Turner Property Services.

The Association is permitting a number of contractors to resume planned maintenance activities throughout our estates. Generally activities are limited to outside work where there is lower risk of person-to-person contact, including:
Landscape maintenance (Idverde)
Resurfacing and repairs to paths and car parks (Newmac)
We are also carrying out a range of permitted activities necessary to keep tenants safe within their homes and which Bridgewater is legally required to do:
Gas boiler servicing (GasSure)
Gas boiler replacements (CMBS)
Work required to
Fire detection, fire suppression, firefighting and fire/smoke alarm systems
Warden call systems
Emergency lighting systems
Communal catering and laundry equipment
Automatic door opener maintenance
Fall arrest system maintenance
Water pump maintenance
Unadopted external lighting
Lock up voids
All other maintenance activities are suspended until further notice.
All of our contractors will be screening their personnel before allowing them to work on or in any Bridgewater property. They will have all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and will strictly follow social distancing guidelines. To minimise the risk of infection, and before entering an occupied property, our contractors will contact you beforehand to ask if anyone within the household has Covid-19, or if anyone is displaying symptoms of the virus, self-isolating or shielding. If necessary our contractors will rearrange access with you. Before starting any work they may need to ask you to remain in one part of your home until the work is complete, in order to minimise the risk of infection.
